REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Send an SMS in the format KCPE#SCHOOL CODE TO 6062. E.g.
KCPE #12345678
Open the KENYA NATIONAL EXAMINATION COUNCIL website i.e http://www.knec-registration.ac.ke/kcpe/REGISTRATION
Click on download to download the KCPE REGISTRATION FILE (Ms
Access database file)
Fill in the required details in that file
Click register
Enter the school code and password given
Click log in
On register candidates’ panel
Then click continue
On the window that appears click choose file/browse
Select the file that was generated (on your left click on my
computer icon then double click local disk C: locate it on your local disk )
After selecting the file e.g 12345678KCPE-REG.dll click open
then
Click upload
You will get a message File uploaded successfully
You’re done!!!
To check the list of candidates registered for the entire
school
Log in into the KNEC website
On CONFIRM REGISTRATION panel
Click continue
Enter school code and click view report
To download the list of candidates
Select format to download with e.g word
Click export
Save the downloaded list which should be printed and handed
over to the DEO
